Google Calendar Reminders – By SMS!
Ive recently discovered that google has a sms reminder feature!
Anyone using Google Calendar can now set events and have a reminder sent to their phone via sms. All you need to do is log in to your calendar, go to the settings page (top right link). Click on the mobile setup tab. Chuck your details in, send the verification code, recieve it within a minute or two and finally confirm the verification code on the web page. You’ll now recieve a confirmation sms telling you that you’re now setup!
Now when ever you go into your google calendar and set up an event, you’ll have the option of an email reminder, pop up reminder, and a sms reminder! Wooh!
Very helpful indeed. I’m finding it very usefu. Both reminding me of events (my memory is rubbish) and reminding me of things i need to do for the day like a to do list, but in a series of txts
Side Note: Looking into it slightly more, it would seem that google has been experimenting with a google uk sms feature for searching. Which is intriguing, for those that cant afford iphones and the like
Who knows, possible for free sms online as well?

I was wondering, how many people genuinely sit down and budget their finances?
I mean, a lot of people just don’t need too. When you make enough money its more of a case of, you get paid, your bills go out, the rest of the money is yours to blow on what you like! But for those of use who don’t make as much money as we’d like, there’s always that classic – Can i really afford another pint? … probably not… *grunt*.. Another pint please!
Well, I’ve been working on a solution for my personal version of that problem!
Using excel I’ve been building a personal finance system. Its a little messy around the edges at the moment, but over all i think its helped me astronomically considering the amount i earn each week!
So of course, I’m hoping that if its useful for me, its probably useful for other people!
Thus I’m in the very early stages of creating a finance organiser style website for users to do their own financing on!
So what do other people think about the joys of such said things?

Hello World!
Wooh! My first wordpress blog post. I have no real idea as to what i will be using this blog for at the moment, so it will probably seem quite unorganised to start off with.
